Nan'an, in Quanzhou, Fujian, is China's largest stone industry hub, often described as the world's biggest stone trading and processing center. The Shuitou town area concentrates thousands of stone enterprises, a dedicated stone market complex of over a million square meters, and massive import volumes of raw marble and granite blocks from more than 50 countries. Nan'an processes and distributes a very large share of China's imported stone, supplying slabs, tiles, countertops and cut-to-size products nationwide and to global projects.
The cluster integrates the entire stone chain: block import (direct shipping routes to Quanzhou ports), gang-saw and multi-wire block cutting, resin lines, slab polishing, CNC profiling and waterjet cutting, plus fabrication of countertops, vanity tops, tombstones, mosaics and engineered stone (quartz). Local availability of European and domestic machinery, abrasives, and skilled fabrication labor enables large project orders — hotels, towers, infrastructure — to be produced and loaded within weeks.
For importers, distributors and project buyers, Nan'an offers direct access to both imported block stock (Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Brazilian, Greek material) and Chinese granites at factory-direct pricing, with mixed-container loading of slabs, tiles and cut-to-size pieces. The main risks are color/vein variance across blocks and slab quality inconsistencies — managed through pre-selection photos, book-matching review and pre-shipment inspection of dimensions, polishing grades and thickness tolerance.
Slab MOQ effectively one bundle (8–12 slabs); tiles from 200–500 m²; project cut-to-size from shop drawings. Slab stock ships in 7–15 days; project production 2–5 weeks. We recommend block/slot pre-selection with photos and video, thickness check at ±0.5 mm tolerance, gloss meter readings ≥85–90 units on polished granite, and pre-shipment inspection per container with packing-clip and wood-batten (ISPM 15) verification.
